Supporting the Naval Sea Cadets Corps We feel strongly that the Sea Cadet Corps is important in developing the character of young men and women and readying them for college, a career in the armed forces, or for future success as citizens. As stated by Admiral R.J. Papp, Jr., USCG: "Involvement in the Naval Sea Cadet Corps provides an enduring reminder of the difference one individual, demonstrating pride, patriotism, courage and self-reliance can make." The virtues of good citizenship and strong moral principles form the core of the program, which works to instill these traits into each cadet. Cadets are not required to join the armed service once they turn 18, but they will enter the adult world having been taught the fundamentals of citizenship and the value of being responsible and productive members of their communities. If you share our values and would like to help, our unit would be most grateful for any donations. Any amount helps! If you are feeling extremely generous and want to sponsor a cadet for training, it costs $120 for one week and $240 for two. Those who sponsor a cadet will receive a USNSCC challenge coin from our unit, along with a personalized thank you note. We will post your name on our sponsor page (if you choose), and the cadet will be informed as to who is sponsoring his/her training. It should be noted that 100% of your contribution goes to support the activities of the Sea Cadets. We have no paid staff - all those who work with the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets of Escondido Battalion are volunteers. Your donation will help us pay for uniforms, supplies, and operating expenses. Please donate through Zelle. Send Zelle payments to [email protected]. The Cadets, Officers, Staff, and parents would like to express their gratitude to the following sponsors, companies and individuals for their generous contributions and support.
